Virtues Of The Community Rehabilitation Teams’ Website

The CRT Website has been designed to provide Global visibility for the Teams. Primarily, the website provides an area for the Committee to display information publicly and in a members’ only area, but also enables the CRT to advertise itself via links on other websites. This has a major advantage of raising the profile of the CRT and allows others to view the Network’s vision and goals.

The site features a Forum, which provides a virtual meeting place to enable members to share ideas, raise issues, ask questions, and answer others’ questions. Only members can post topics on the Forum; however non members can read the comments, serving to sell the CRT’s professionalism to other website visitors.

Perhaps it goes without saying, but the website can be accessed from anywhere that has an Internet connection. Consequently, this provides great communication links and certainly increases the speed of response and information flow. Apart from being able to logon to the website while you’re on holiday, you will also find access to the contact information quick and easy.

As all the records are held centrally on Access databases, the website greatly reduces the administration effort required to maintain members’ records. In addition, as the administrators can access and amend the committee’s and members’ information on line, it will be much easier to ensure the information is kept up to date. You also have access to your membership details, via a membership login, so you can update and amend your details at any time.

Finally, the Website has allowed the CRT to move away from having one renewal date every year. Members can now join and renew memberships on any day of the year and renewal reminders will be sent by email.

We don’t want the website to remain static, so if you have any ideas on how we can enhance things further, please email the Committee, the Web Developer, or post a message on the Forum.
